There's honestly no such thing as a stupid question -- but I'm afraid I can't rule out giving a stupid answer : : To Posterity and Beyond!

Wow, very very cool! Did you click on a "sample screen demo" link? It would be soooo useful for language learners!

I don't know why it would increase our downloads, though... they're selling our content on cds, and they don't seem to link back to us or anything.

That's one downside of being PD. Do they keep our disclaimers?

I doubt it :) I don't see it as a downside, though. That's just the nature of being PD.

I wrote the guy a nice complimentary email and got a very heartwarming one back... here's a little quote:
I feel grateful to you and many others at
librivox and will be forever in debt to you all. At
some point, I like to contribute back to the librivox
movement.
Says he quit his job to work on this project full time, and needs to make it fly so he can support his family! Also, he's working on support for linux and mac :)

I don't know, Alex. The developer (Hong Guo) is super nice, and I'm sure he'd tell you all about it if you email him.

He just emailed me a link to his press release, in which he DOES mention LV!

very nice. it highlight chunks of text not single words but still, very good. LV Disclaimers are dropped, at least from the beginnings of chapters, I only tested out 02 of Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Very impressive.
