Including the first ever DR in Ukrainian :D I wonder how many DRs and plays we have in languages other than English. Can't be that many.

As far as I can see from a very quick search, we have 3 dramatic readings in LOTE in our catalog:

German, French, Russian.
Edit: Okay, there's the Ukranian one; it will need to be categorised as DR to have it show up in the search ;-)

We do have many more plays in languages other than English, but I'm not going to count them all right now.
Cheers, Ava.

Yeah, I just looked it up. That's great  Somehow I always thought it almost never happens.

Compared to the number of English plays we have, that's definitely true.

Part of the problem is that for many languages, we don't have enough people who speak it. And most plays have more than three or four characters. So either they are never started in the first place, or they languish forever (see the Dutch play I started in 2015...)

They are great - but do remember these are only people who interact with youtube and I'm sure there are many of our listeners who have never listened to any of our books that way and probably never will :D. But it's a great place for the casual browser to find them I think.

I think the number of subscribers to the youtube channel is great (approx 80.000). I think youtube is another way of attracting may be young listeners (unless they only use Twitch)

In October, LibriVox volunteers completed 93 projects (and 1 already in December), bringing us to 1304 total projects for 2021.

Other stats:

Total number of projects 16796
Number of completed projects 16135
Number of completed non-English projects 2055
Total number of languages 100
Number of languages with a completed work 46
Number of completed solo projects 8531
Number of readers 11802
...who have completed something 11659

Unfortunately November stopped our streak of 100+ months at 11. I was so hoping to get to 12 straight 100 months. Oh well, I guess we just have to try again. :-)

We are well on our way to smashing last years yearly total. We are currently at 1304 completed projects. Last year we cataloged 1335, which was a record.

I have been told that we've beat our all-time record for Dramatic Works.

In 2020 we completed 69 dramatic works, which was a record. So far this year we've completed 72.

We are just 3 projects short of equaling last years 1335 project count, and with over half a month to go!

Thanks, Todd
