Hey folks
Have tracks in GarageBand that you can’t seem to mix down to mono? Here’s my work around.
Export your track as an MP3 to where ever you put such files. Drag and drop that mp3 file into Audacity. Once the file uploads to Audacity you can mix it down to Librivox specs. I got used to editing in GarageBand and all of my files are there, so for my current project this is the way to go and it worked like a charm. In the future I’ll try to record in Audacity and cut out the middle man.

Yeah, not really a workaround when you have to install Audacity to do it. LOL! 8-)

Cool. That works and nothing wrong with recording and editing in GB if that is what you like as that is where the vast majority of time is spent in the process. Too bad it cannot export even mono tracks to mono. I thought old versions use to have this ability. Oh well, it is free and works well for playing around with music

Best wishes!
