I am looking for scripts (1-male, 1-female) for use in a Librivox project.
I found this source: MB (Monologue Blogger)
Acting Scripts for Female and Male Actors
https://monologueblogger.com/40-acting-scripts-for-female-and-male-actors/
or
https://monologueblogger.com/10-practice-scripts-for-actors/
Hundreds of scripts, some long, some short, some monologs, too.
Here is their Terms of Service page:
https://monologueblogger.com/terms-of-service/
Would these scripts be considered public domain by Librivox?
Scripts considered public domain by Librivox? [No - they're very clearly copyrighted]]

I opened up the very first script as pdf and it says on the very first page, third line:

What the terms of service you link to say is that you may download the scripts and read them for yourself, temporarily.
It does not allow you to

Damn!!! I've downloaded none of their offerings, so I had no chance to see that notice of copyright.
I should have gone at least that much deeper in my investigation. Sorry for your extra trouble.
Thanks!

You can find public domain books with monologues in archive.org, like for example https://archive.org/details/monologues00fiskrich/page/n5/mode/2up
if that's what you're looking for

Thank you, Rap! As I'm looking for dramatic DIALOGUES, not monologues, the specific work you referenced is wide of the mark, but the concept of searching in Internet Archive is something I should have thought of myself...there were too many preconceptions twirling around in my brain.Rapunzelina wrote: ↑June 15th, 2021, 7:28 am You can find public domain books with monologues in archive.org, like for example https://archive.org/details/monologues00fiskrich/page/n5/mode/2up
