I was just curious if anybody had run into the archivist website https://fromthepage.com/, which is used by many universities for archiving historical papers and records. More information can be found about it here:

https://www.lib.utexas.edu/about/news/libraries-receive-neh-grant-help-develop-multilingual-transcription

For those long-time Librivox members who are more savvy in regards to copyright, if any document images contained on a FromThePage site clearly show the original publish date and are decades older than the 1923(now 1926?) copyright cut off, there any problems recording them? There's no problem transcribing them as that is what the site is for and promotes.

For example,
Stanford University has an instance of FromThePage: https://www.fromthepage.com/stanforduniversityarchives
As does Indiana University for the Frederick Douglass Papers: https://fromthepage.com/fdp

Thoughts?

From https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Recording_%26_Text_Policies#Our_policy_on_text_sources:
Texts acceptable for LV:

Scans of works which show the publication year as being more than 95 years ago
So yes, this should work. My greatest concern would be whether or not the pages are temporary on the FromThePage website, since we link to the text source on our catalog pages.
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart
Humor: My Lady Nicotine
