Hi folks! I'm recording a scifi story that involves a robot dying.
The exact text is, "SSSSSSSSSSS ... SSSSSSTTTTT ... CRACKLE ... SSSSSSTTTT...."
Am I allowed to use audio clips/make non-voice noises? I imagine the general policy is to avoid them, but I think it would be more immersive to just add a second or two...
Robot Murder!! What's the sound?

Sound effects aren't allowed. So yeah, do what you can with your voice/mouth/face.
I think the "crackle" could be something like imitating CB static, if you're old enough to know that sound.

No extraneous audio clips, but you can make whatever noises (with your mouth ) as are required by the text.
In thic case I would just read the consonants with... suitable expression.

It would be hard to do that without also saying, "We're havin' a convoy!"

I'm closer to the Look Up "CB Static" on YouTube age, but now that I've done that, I have some good material to imitate.
Thanks!!
