Audacity stops recording after I hit the one minute mark.. I didnt realize this was happening until after I recorded a full chapter and saw that it stopped there, and when I tried just randomly speaking in the microphone with brand new files, it keeps stopping at the one minute mark. I didnt change any of my settings and I have successfully recorded chapters in the past.

It could be that you don't have enough available memory left on your computer. As I understand, Audacity requires quite a lot of working memory, so it might help to go through and delete old files and things that you don't need or use. That may not be it, but it's worth a try.

The OP posted this in the "I have an Audacity problem" thread, then said she figured it out - her computer was trying to do updates and was interrupting the recording. :)
