A book "The Rookeries of London" by Thomas Beames (published in 1850), is not on Gutenberg yet; a first edition is on abebooks at £150; is not on archive.org.

However, a free pdf is available from google books: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=lK5NAQAAMAAJ&source=gbs_book_similarbooks

It appears to be a scan of the original text.

Could this be recorded here?

Yes, it's a scan that says 1850 on the first page where it says anything. So: good to go.

We prefer to use other sources since google books may be blocked in other countries (often for weird reasons), but as far as reading is concerned, it's okay.

Have you tried hathitrust.org yet?

Thanks, Ava; you're right, it's accessible on Hathi, too ... an actual scan of the book.
