checker workaround for chromebook

I have not found any volume checker that works with the chrome OS on my chromebook. I am able to do everything else I need to edit my recordings, but am missing this final piece. Does anybody know of a checker that works in the chrome OS?

Assuming you are using Audacity as a recorder, there is a plugin to check levels for audiobooks.
It is not the same as the "librivox" checker, but it will get you very very close to the mark.

Another option is the Replay Gain plugin in directly in Audacity to tell you how much your file needs to be amplified to get to 89 db. Instructions here:
