Hello :D This is my first time posting and I'm thinking, one of many.

I've noticed that on Gutenberg.org there is a visual "green light" for anything being apart of the public domain. But, on the app there isn't one. Am I safe to assume that I'm still in the clear?

Gutenberg has an app? I did not know this! 8-)

You mean the box that gives the copyright status? I don't know I've ever seen a graphic that color codes this. :hmm:

I don't know what is displayed on the app, but 99% of Gutenberg's texts are PD in the USA. You're typically safe.

If the project has been started here (the Magic Window is in place in the first post of the project thread), we've checked the PD-ness of the text, and it's OK for the USA.
Mystery/PulpFic: Dope, by Sax Rohmer
The one that started them all: Self-Help, by Samuel Smiles
Elizabethan Poetry: The Psalmes of David
Boring works 30-70 minutes long: Insomnia Collection 5
Short essays: Elia, and The Last Essays of Elia

Yes! I was excited as well to find out, its available through the google play store. And yes, the copyright posting before the text reaffirming its apart of the public domain. Some books on the app are not on the website. Thank you for the response :D This clears things up.
