Hi there
I´m searching for a user/reader "Jerome".
His real name is Jerome Lawsen.
I´m a musician and made a track - just for myself - and used samples from the Audio Book "The Machine Stops" by E.M. Forster, red by Jerome Lawsen.
A label liked the song and they would like to release it.
Now I´m trying to get a Sample Clearing from the reader, but can´t find him.
Can anybody help me out with this?
Kind regards
Marko

It seems you're talking about this version here:
https://librivox.org/the-machine-stops-by-em-forster/
According to his profile, Jerome has last been online in 2009:
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=8982
There is no homepage listed, so it's unlikely that it's easy to get to him...
For what it's worth, all our recordings are in the public domain, so anybody can do anything with them, including making money out of them.

The only thing I can think of that might work is if you send the message and your email address to info@librivox.org we could send him on to his email - it would only work if he still has the email address he registered with and he doesn't drop it straight into spam.

Since all Librivox is public domain, you don't need a release. I've been sampled myself.
And if the label's lawyers are still worried send them to the chapter, which should start off with Jerome's own voice saying, "...this LibriVox recording is in the public domain..."
