markpenfold here,

It has been a LONG time since I edited recordings, and I have since forgotten which software I used to do so. I can't seem to figure out WavePad or Audacity when it comes to editing my recording, and I'm looking for software that is easy to learn.

Thanks,
M@rk

I haven't used WavePad, but have used Audacity (and even use it still sometimes). What exactly can't you seem to figure out? Where is the stumbling point?

Hey Mark, what a wonderful surprise to see you here! I've seen your name a LOT here in the past and always associated with great recordings. I use Audacity and here is my Guide for the Completely Bewildered http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4QpD1vAJkY

Here is basic editing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9NuSuWYaWg&feature=youtu.be

Ask if these are too basic for you or you need any help at all. We all seem to have a lot of home time these days

Thank you, Phil! I will check those videos out. Yes, indeed, we seem to have a great deal of time on our hands.

Okay....so, my description of this site may not be very clear, but here goes: It was a page with a drop-down menu with all the various sound levels (i.e. -18, -20, -23, etc.), and you would type the filename in. Then, after setting all the parameters, you would click on a button, and it had a progress bar to show when the editing was done.

Does any of this gibberish mean anything to anyone?

Great.... :(

Every time I upload a file onto Auphonic and click on "Start Production", there's a pop-up that says, "undefined". WTH? It used to be that all I had to do was upload the file, click on "Start Production", and it would begin immediately.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Did you select your preset options, assuming you have some?

There may be options you must choose, and if you didn't choose them, it won't allow you to go further?
Mystery/PulpFic: Dope, by Sax Rohmer
The one that started them all: Self-Help, by Samuel Smiles
Elizabethan Poetry: The Psalmes of David
Boring works 30-70 minutes long: Insomnia Collection 5
Short essays: Elia, and The Last Essays of Elia
