I have the newest audacity download and when I put a file into checker it tells me to set my kbps to 128. I'm just not finding where to do that. I don't see it in preferences or on the tool area. Anyone know? Thanks in advance! SC :D

You need some audio in the track first. When exporting the track as an MP3, that is when you get to choose what quality and in this case, it will be 128 kbs. Use the dropdown box to choose it. and keep it constant. :D
Before it was carved, Mount Rushmore was unprecedented.

It's in the export settings. The good news is with Audacity when you get them set, the program remembers them for future exports.
File>Export audio>(wherever you want to save it is fine).
Bit rate should be 'Constant'
Quality 128kbps
Save

Thank you, you are correct! All is well. I loved your how to videos----couldn't do anything without them. :D

Thanks, it was set at 192 and of course, I'm looking in all the wrong places. Much appreciated! :)
