There's a number of steps before you upload anything.
It's usual for readers to post a 1-minute test - see instructions in your welcome email - you could use about a 1 minute sample of your recording
That will make sure the technical requirements are right for our purposes
But the first thing before you do that is that what you have read is PD in the USA , which means the actual text you have read was published 1924 or earlier.
Once both of those things are right you will need to go to the Launch Pad and read the Solo sticky, follow the instructions to post a project, add the into's and outro's we need.

MCs chose projects when they have been set up in the launch pad, and you do not need to upload anything till that happens except the 1 minute test
If you've lost your welcome email try here https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test - make sure the settings are right according to the instructions.
Re PD - you will need when you set the project up to post a link to the source you read from so your MC can check it.

Maybe it would be better if you posted the name of the play and the source you read from first - - just in case we aren't able to use it . It would save you wasting your time.

Thanks Anne.
I think I'd better first upload the 1 min.file and see if it is approved.

I must confess I thought it would be much easier. 😋

Interesting and unusual - I'll need to consult some others about it. It's really short, about 2000 words - and would fit well in a collection - I just need to work out which one :D

I'm having problems finding a text we can use. Wikisource says its a scan from a 1963 book so although it says it is PD wikisource is often wrong.
And in order for it to be PD automatically in the USA it would need to be published 1924 or earlier, The version in the memoirs would not be PD either so we would need to see the Daily Mail 1907 - it is available but not freely accessible .
Anyone else have an idea ?
