Can I use the “Voice Memos” app on my apple phone to record? Is there a way to download or send my recording from my iPhone to be downloaded? Thanks for your advise.

Probably not, because it doesn't sound like an app you can use to edit. (You'll never get through a chapter in a book without needing to edit!)

Check the recent thread about the Chromebook for some links to info about using Apple devices to record and upload. :)

I’ve used this app on both iPhone and iPad and it works quite well. I belive you have to pay like 10$ to use the noise reduction but it’s a lot cheaper then a new computer ;)

Ops sorry I did not include the name :|

Its made by Woji Juice I think.

This is the link https://www.wooji-juice.com/products/hokusai/

It features editing, noise gate, eq, gain, exporting to .mp3 and everything else you might need for LV I don’t use it anymore but I did for quite some time.

If you have an iPhone, you can download GarageBand for iPhone for free in the App Store (App icon right on your phone). I haven’t used the iPhone version myself, but my son says it works for recording. (But not as easy for editing I imagine, and not sure if you could convert the file to mono on there.)

Garage band does not have noise reduction last time I checked. (Which has been a while) however Hokusai can’t be beat! All the nessecary stuff and easy to use!

"Noise Gate" plug-in is available in the desktop and iPad versions of GarageBand. It works very well (eliminates all background "noises" under a decibel level that you set and adjust). I'm not sure if the iPhone version has this option or not.

I do love noise gates :D but has it been added to iPad? If so then I am wrong, which is most definitely not out of the relm of possibility

Last time i used it i could only noise gate on mac. Not iPad.

Moral of the story.... Double check my opinions

TwistedWave includes a noise gate for iPad. I demonstrate in my video.
