[SOLVED]Audacity problem

The recorded material does not move off to the left automatically when I click the green play button, although the sound progresses normally. I must have inadvertently done something, but can't figure out how to undo whatever I did. PLEASE ADVISE! Thanks.

Sounds like your transport setting.

I'll look into it, though others may chime in very soon with your needed answer.

THANK YOU KEVIN! I went to Transport and clicked Play/Stop. BINGO!

Hahahah! I'm glad it worked. It was at best---at best---an educated guess.
