Collecting chapters in one file

Do we---if I may say 'we'---ever collect multiple chapters of a short book into one file that can be read without interruption?

To be honest, I did something like this recently with a collection of eight sonnets, but these were meant to be read as one collection and had the title "Eight Sonnets."

I'm looking at Thoreau's "Wild Apples" and am wondering how one might deal with it. Some 'chapters' are just two or three paragraphs.

We combine short chapters or poems into one file, yes. It's the decision of the BC or soloist how to divide up the book into sections/files.

Please clarify if I misunderstood your question. :)
