hi [Audacity not downloading for me]

my computer is refusing to download any of the audacity files. So just to be certain. So if i was to purchase a voice recorder I would still need to software? having a voice recorder would be no use? thanks x

You'll need a way to edit your recordings (no one on earth can record without making SOME errors to correct), and to get the correct technical settings (mono, 44,100 Hz sample rate, 128 kbps constant bit rate MP3). Other audio editing software besides Audacity can do this, but most of us do use Audacity, so getting questions answered about its use is easier than with other software.

I don't think I've heard of a computer not being able to install Audacity. What kind of computer are you using?
