I've been slogging through the Book Suggestions forum for the last day or two, unsuccessfully trying to find a book I remember coming across some months ago. It's about a man who spends basically his life savings in buying back his family's estate, that was sold away from them two or three generations previously. The problem is that the land isn't really worth anything anymore (which is why he could afford to buy it), so now that he's spent everything in getting it, he doesn't know what to do with it.
Not much to go on, I know, but I'm almost sure that I originally came across it somewhere on the forums here, so I'm hoping someone here remembers something about it. I don't even know why I want to find it so badly, exactly. I'm not in a position to start a new project, I just remember it was so intriguing.
