Hello.
I was wondering if Frazer's "The Golden Bough" is an abridged version. How can I find this out? I did not see any information as to the edition on the title's page. Thank you.

You can check out the text (it says "online text" on the catalog page):

http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/3623

If you click "bibrec" there, you will get more information about the text. In this case, it says indeed "1922 Abridged edition".

Wow - it's 42 hours of recording, and already abridged... Wouldn't want to know how long the full version would take us.
Cheers, Ava.

And if you listen to or read the author's preface he talks about the edition there if you need more information
