My 14 year old niece has become very interested lately in being a voice actress, and I want to suggest to her to become a librivox volunteer to give her practice and training. Is there a minimum age requirement to do recordings? I wasn't able to find anything that said "must be 18 years or older" but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Any advice here is appreciated. Thanks.

All ages are welcome! We have lots of teenage volunteers, and kids as young as 5 (I think) have recorded for us -- with adult supervision and help, of course.

Make sure your niece understands the concept of public domain. All our recordings can be used by anyone, for any purpose, forever.

My 5yo daughter records here, so no, there isn't a minimum age to record - but any minor needs an adult to manage their account. It probably needs to be a parent or guardian that gives permission via email.
