I use a Mac Pro. When attempting to "export as an mp3" I hit a road block. Several times I have been presented with the following text: COULD NOT OPEN "MP3 ENCODING" I am no techno whiz, so coalescing the numerous links while learning how to use both Audacity and Librivox is a slow process. Suggestions?

Have you installed LAME? Audacity needs this additional piece of software to encode files in mp3 format.

Which version of Audacity are you using? I updated to the most recent version and started encountering different encoding errors.
I had to revert back to the older copy to get anything done.
