This may be a silly question, but I would like to check on this one, since I can't seem to find any other link for it. Would this one be acceptable to record in terms of copyright status?

Winter,
It's not a silly question, it's always good to check.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like LV can accept a project to record this work. It was published in 1927 and so may still be protected by copyright in the US. In that case, we would require a clearance from Project Gutenberg to confirm that it was public domain due to non-renewal of the copyright.
