Hi,
I'd like to read in italian "Sei personaggi in cerca di autore" by Luigi Pirandello.
The author died in 1936 so it should be PD in Italy (life +70).
I found this source on archive.org: https://archive.org/details/seipersonaggiinc18457gut
I cannot understand if it's in public domain in the US, because it says "not in copyright" but when I open, it says it's been release in 2006.
Thank you,
Fabiola
Is this book in public domain? [YES]

Its source is Gutenberg, e-text #18457. http://gutenberg.org/ebooks/18457
There, it says "Copyright Status: Public domain in the USA."
We trust Project Gutenberg, since they do a lot of work to check copyright status on what they have on their site. So yes, this is PD in the USA and available to be recorded for LibriVox!
The "release date" is when it was made available on Gutenberg.
