I should imagine BB code stands for bulletin board code.
It's like html code and will make the text behave in certain ways.
This BB code is between square brackets such as this one.
If you put a link inbetween these then it will open that link up in a new page.
If you put text between these two codes it will appear in bold.
When you write a message you'll see some of these bb codes on the editor. Experiment, have a play. You'll find them often quite useful.

You'll see a [color=green]Help[/color] link to BBCode at the bottom left of every Message and PM window you compose in.
If you want your recipient(s) to [i][b]see[/b][/i] the code, click the box to Disable BBCode in this post (as I've done here.)
Have fun playing!

[size=75]Whereas story is processed in the mind in a straightforward manner, poetry bypasses rational thought and goes straight to the limbic system and lights it up like a brushfire. It's the crack cocaine of the literary world. - Jasper Fforde[/size]
