I have a Blue Yeti mic (the regular version, not the Pro), about 5 months old, which suddenly stopped working last week. Customer service has been entirely unresponsive so far, so I thought I'd post here. I'd appreciate any advice/ideas you might have!
Everything I can think of that might be relevant:
I'm on a Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3.
The Yeti no longer picks up any sound.
If I plug my headphones into the mic, I get white noise/static. I can use the headphone-into-mic setup to watch videos etc. so it works fine as an output device, just not for input.
Yes, the mic is plugged in
It's set up in System Preferences as the sound input device.
I have tried setting all the System Preferences > Sound sliders to zero and back to normal, as suggested by customer service.
The red mute button is lit, and not flashing.
Gain is not set to low/0.
I have restarted my computer.
I have tried using a different USB cord.
I have tried the mic with a different computer (Mac, older OS version), and it doesn't work there either.

Sorry to hear about your microphone. When they do work, Yetis are nice indeed.
I can only tell you that I had a similar problem with my Yeti. Since you have it on a warranty, I think you should insist on a replacement. Mine did stop working in a similar fashion and after contacting their support I managed to send them the recording of the static and a full description of the situation. It did take a few weeks to get a new one from them, but they did admit the electronics failure after they tested the one I sent them.
Best of luck to you in resolving this trouble.
