I can manage to record on Audacity. Managed to save it, but can't make a recording save it then record more to that file.

Have you done a test yet ? Just so you are happy you can produce what we need and upload it. Then you can build on that knowledge.
Pressing shift and record should let you add to a recording but please do not attempt a recording of your project until you've succeeded at the sound check (1 minute test)

Usually a 1-minute test is posted in a new thread in the "Listeners & Editors Wanted" section of the forum. BTW, 'wav' is not an accepted format, you need 'mp3'. Please read the instructions again and ask questions if something is unclear.

Moving this to "Need Help?" and sending a PM to the OP with a link, so it doesn't get lost. ;)

P.S. If you cannot export to MP3, you need to install the LAME encoder. Instructions and link to the LAME download are here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Audacity_1-2-3#Download_and_Install

Trisha, My chapters are long. Can I split them into chapter one and two?

I don't know what project you're talking about. It's best to speak to your BC (the person that is coordinating the project), so ask in the project thread.

However, in general, if it's a group project, the BC has split things up the way they want them split already, so you'd have to submit the long chapter as one file. If it's your own solo project, you can split up the chapters.

That's one reason many BCs put the word counts in the sections - so that readers can see how long they are. :)

So check with your BC if it's a group project. Check with your MC if it's a solo.
