I recently allowed Microsoft to install Windows 10 in my PC. I also have plugged the mic (Yeti) into an on/off USB hub. Now when opening Audacity to record I get this message: Error Initializing Audio. Could not find any audio devices. You will not be able to play or record any audio devices. Error: Internal Port Audio error.

Not quite true. The speakers work, but not the mic.

When the Audacity recording page appears and I click on the red recording button I get: Error while opening sound device settings and the project sample rate.

Any idea what the problem is and how to fix this? (BTW, the problem does not resolve when I re-plug directly into the PC.)

If I've sent this to the wrong forum, please let me know. Thanks. (edit: moved from Error Reports)

Try the Audacity forum. It is a common problem.

I moved this to "Need Help? Got Advice?". "Error Reports" is for reporting mistakes in our cataglogue.

I don't use Windows so I'm no help but I added that info to the subject line so people who do can spot your predicament more easily.

Patti's advice is sound and a good place to start.

Good luck. :)

I've seen this noted by other Audacity/Windows 10 users on other boards. Looks like you may have to wait for an update to Audacity.

I don't know whether it is exactly the same audio issue that you are experiencing, but it's worth a try.
