This is the microphone I use:

I've used it for recording two things for librivox so far and its done very well i think. Especially as I havent used any editing software to try and remove noise.

It also looks great with a mac as it has a sort of mac styling to it.

This is the first USB mic I bought for LibriVoxing! Chris (tis) has one too. Gesine, if you make a circle with your index fingers and thumbs of both hands, that's about how big the base is, maybe a little smaller. It's weighted nicely. A very attractive mic, and if I'd known what I was doing, EQ-wise, when I was using it, I probably would not have tried all the logitech ones :)
