Good afternoon.

I too am reading the Calvin work on Corinthians, and would appreciate some help (preferably a vocaroo recording if possible, or however the board prefers to do such things) for the following.

Page 61 section 54

Meaning: Amplification

Interestingly enough I cannot find either word in http://www.ccel.org/ccel/calvin/calcom39.xxii.iii.html

I also cut and pasted as best as I could

[color=#0040FF]pοπᾖ(the p has what looks like this accent ό) means "jerk"

pιπᾖ (there's no accent on the p) means "twinkling

θopεσῶμεν means "let us bear" (I couldn't find this either and it is what is probably an inaccurate cut and paste job. There was no accent on the w, and a ό accent on the ε)

I'm not at all an expert, although I've been told I sound like I know what I'm saying in Greek. The secret is to say it as if you know what you're saying.

Here's how I'd pronounce them:

epeksergasia: ep-eks-er-ga-SEE-a
hropi (very slight breathy h sound at the beginning)
hripi (same)
thoresomes: tho-re-SO-mes

The E's are more like AY than EE. Either AY or EH.
