I download books onto my iPhone using an app called "Books" that I got on the iTunes Store. When I search for books it will only give me one version, instead of including second or third versions by other readers. There are particular readers I want to find that have done other versions but the app also does not let me search by reader. I have tried to download the audiobooks directly from Librivox but Safari will not let me download them. Are there multiple apps through which librivox recordings can be downloaded? Is there a way to get the "Books" app to list all available versions? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi lb,
There are several apps out there - but they have no official link with Librivox - Librivox does not make or fill apps. So if you want to know more about the app you have to contact the maker of the app.

Here are some wiki pages with tips on several ways to listen to Librivox projects:

Take a look at those pages, and see if it helps!

Hi,

I've written an iPhone app that makes it very easy to find, download and listen to Librivox recordings.

You can browse by genre, and search by title, author or reader. To search by reader, you need to know their ID (for example, 1234 for librivox.org/reader/1234) -- then just enter r:1234 in the search field.

It is WAY easier to use than the methods described in: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/How_To_Listen_On_Your_Apple_Device

It's called Bookmobile, and can find out more here: http://bookmobileapp.com

It is $2.99, but you can try up to 3 audiobooks for 60 days for free. If you send me an email today or tomorrow, I'll give you a code for free unlimited use.
