downloading Lame

Hello.

I'm new here, and I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, but here it goes. I have downloaded Audacity without any problem, but I was unable to download Lame, which as I understand it, will allow me to upload my files as mp3 files. My computer is a MacBook Air, and it seems like Lame is only available for Windows. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks so much... I was a little overwhelmed by all the different versions of Audacity and all the computer models listed:)
