My header says most of it. I started on Librivox with Henry James and Edith Wharton and those two are still high on my favorites list, though I've ventured happily into Mark Twain and Dickens (A Child's History of England). As much as I enjoyed James and Wharton after seven or eight of their books I did start thinking the world would be a better place without any humanity, so maybe something a little less depressing would be in order. Thanks, Keith

Hi Keith

Out of thousands of LibriVox titles, I'd impulsively suggest Andy Minter's recordings of Arnold Bennett's The Card and its sequel The Regent. They cheered me up a lot when I was in hospital recovering from an appendix operation.

Best wishes
Martin

You could try gnod literature map to find similar authors.

It's more a play thing than a real tool, but it's fun.

I love the literarymap. I actually have found some great classic authors that way, Mary Jane Holmes, for example.
