Can anyone help with this Japanese poem (?)

I'm pretty sure it's the same as mentioned in the text a few lines above:
“Sayonara no
Ureiya nokore
Mizu no neni!”
Would you like a pronunciation guide?

It's transcribed in the book just above the image:Lynnet wrote: ↑July 12th, 2021, 5:57 pm Can anyone help with this Japanese poem (?)

“Sayonara no
Ureiya nokore
Mizu no neni!”
Which is a lucky break, because I can't make heads or tails of this handwriting, aside from recognizing "sayonara" at the start (very curiously written in katakana instead of hiragana, as though it was a foreign word).
Michael
Pretty much phonetic Latin/Spanish.
z in mizu as in "bees".

A book I'm working on has occasional sentences of untranslated Hebrew. I'd love someone to record the phrases for me if it's possible but I'm ok with a transliteration.
The first one is in the middle of the page: https://archive.org/details/conciliatoryorir00wits/page/30/mode/1up
The next pair is at the bottom of the page: https://archive.org/details/conciliatoryorir00wits/page/43/mode/1up
The next pair is in the middle and at the bottom: https://archive.org/details/conciliatoryorir00wits/page/78/mode/1up
Many thanks.

here you go, first read slowly, so you can copy the pronunciation, then faster, so you hear it more fluently I hope this helps.

Is it from a poem or prose text ? Depending on context, it means something like: "the remains of the past glory"
Sonia
I will be on vacation from Wednesday 27 March till Sunday 14 April
and unable to PL during that time. Thank you for your patience.

If you find someone who knows Hebrew, I encourage you to disregard every word I write below.InTheDesert wrote: ↑July 28th, 2021, 8:03 am A book I'm working on has occasional sentences of untranslated Hebrew. khah-TAH (sinner) and ah-SHEM (guilty). Apparently, by orthographic rules that are beyond me, the first word can also spell "khet" (sin). The first one is in the middle of the page: https://archive.org/details/conciliatoryorir00wits/page/30/mode/1up
El and Elohim. The next pair is at the bottom of the page: https://archive.org/details/conciliatoryorir00wits/page/43/mode/1up
The first one was an interesting puzzle for me because half of the letters seem to be written incorrectly, but I'm reasonably confident it was intended to say:The next pair is in the middle and at the bottom: https://archive.org/details/conciliatoryorir00wits/page/78/mode/1up
צדקה , צעקה , שינוי השם ושינוי מעשה
tsah-dah-KAH, tsah-ah-KAH, shi-NOO-ee ha-SHEM ve-shi-NOO-ee mah-AH-seh
The second one is: mi-TAH kah-pah-RAH
Michael
I can take these on. Do you prefer I read just the Hebrew text? Might be a better flow if I read the associated sentence.InTheDesert wrote: ↑July 28th, 2021, 8:03 am A book I'm working on has occasional sentences of untranslated Hebrew. BTW, nice work on the transliteration! The last page truly does seem to be written incorrectly.Kazbek wrote: ↑July 31st, 2021, 7:47 amIf you find someone who knows Hebrew, I encourage you to disregard every word I write below.InTheDesert wrote: ↑July 28th, 2021, 8:03 am A book I'm working on has occasional sentences of untranslated Hebrew. But, I agree with your assumption. The text seems to be taken from the Babylonian Talmud, Tractate Rosh Hashana (https://www.hebrewbooks.org/shas.aspx?mesechta=9&daf=16b&format=pdf).
