I'm a bit confused.

I volunteered to PL a section last night, promising to get to it by today, and now I cannot find it. I can't even find record that I made the offer.

The thread you posted in was in Prooflisteners and Editors Wanted, and since it got a PL, the thread was removed. That's another reason to post in the project thread rather than the PL&EW thread - err, or it's why we admins try to lock those threads to force people to post in the project thread.
