I am the happy DPL for a project viewtopic.php?f=2&t=90668
But I have never logged in to the Magic Window, ever, and can't see exactly where on the screen I should log in.
I maintain passwords in a file on my laptop, and I see this in my personal file:-

Code: Select all

LibriVox	ChrisGreaves
LibriVoxDPL	[Personal email redacted by admin for privacy purposes]
with a different password (not shown in this post) against each user name .

I am logged in to the forums (else how could I post this) as 'ChrisGreaves' and have been participating thus for two weeks.
I have searched this and other forums looking for a clue, but the topics seem to talk about "logging in to the Magic Window" without specifying exactly where or how.
In the interim I have posted in the project thread that the three members contributions are PLOK by me, so that the members are re-assured, but I would like to make it official by updating the MW

I am feeling particularly stupid over this, but neither in the Wiki nor in the forums, have I found any hint of "Go here and you will see a box that..."or similar.
Too, by now, it is entirely possible that I have somehow loused up whatever is my DPL username/password, so if an Administrator reads this and can reset the DPL username/password and then PM me, I'd be very grateful.
Thank you in advance.

Here is the page you're hunting for: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=DPLs:_How_to_Update_the_Magic_Window :)

Ask again if you still have questions after reading that information.

Thank you Devorah (?felix?)

Use this Link to go the main login screen: http://librivox.org/workflow
Click on Login (for BCs & MCs) at this point I click on the button and nothing happens; I could swear I was here earlier today. I will shut down and try again tomorrow.
Enter your forum username.
Click “Forgot Password” (Note: Your forum password will not work here!!)
You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Click the link and enter a password and submit the form.
Go back to the main login screen and use the new password you entered above to log in to the system.
When you log in from the main screen above, you will be taken to the LibriVox Management Dashboard default screen where you should see a list of your active projects along with options for dropdown menus, searching and editing your profile. (more on this later)

Thanks, Chris

please continue this discussion in the project thread - you will get a more specific answer there - it is project related not general forum-related. DPLs can only access the projects they are DPL for so you are either not using the correct password or have not been installed as DPL.

Not disagreeing with Anne, but this step-by-step guide may help.

Thank you for this, Jo. I have read it and followed the instructions.
As Anne has requested, I will continue this discussion on "how to login as DPL" in the project thread at viewtopic.php?f=2&t=90668
