The link on the Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matilde_Serao should be changed from https://librivox.org/author/15970 (which is Sir Hugh Fraser) to https://librivox.org/author/15586 (which is Matilde Serao).

The link ( https://librivox.org/add_catalog_item/16463 ) is not a link to an author, but the link to the project titled "Amid The High Hills". It shows up like that because Sir Hugh Fraser does not have a Wikipedia page link in his Librivox record in the author database. If this is the right author https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Fraser,_1st_Baron_Fraser_of_Allander I can add the link to that database.

First problem resolved.

I'll wait until Hugh Fraser's project catalogues, then tackle making those links.

msfry wrote: July 8th, 2021, 4:55 pm DOLZ has created a Wikipedia page for author Harriet A. Glazebrook:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harriet_A._Glazebrook

David, will you please add the wiki link to the author's LV page here:
https://librivox.org/author/33

and the external link to Wikipedia from this project page:
https://librivox.org/short-poetry-collection-083/

Either DOLZ or I will add the External Link when that is done. Thanks.
Link to the new wikipedia page has been added to the author's LV page.

We don't add links to short works or poetry collections.
1) the readings aren't books
2) adding 20, or more, links for each author and adding 20, or more, links for each title gets to be overwhelming very quickly.

I'll do it today, Fritz.

EDIT: I added the link to the book page, and also added the information to the spreadsheet.

Here is a case discovered by DOLZ:
LV has an author page for Ella Farman Pratt, but there is nothing listed on it.
https://librivox.org/author/223?
She is also listed on our author spreadsheet, with no further information.
How does that happen?

It can happen, because authors are created when a project is started. If the project is not completed and abandonded, the author will exist on the author list without a project connected to their name. Completed and in-progress project show up on the author list. The wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ella_Farman can still be linked to the author list. She wrote quite a few children's books so maybe one will be read in the near future.

It can, but it annoys me personally when someone wastes my time sending me to a link with nothing useful in it. Time robbers are a special peave of mine. So little time, so much to do. :?

Thanks for the guide on doing this!
This is my first attempt, but I think it came out alright.

This was from a BC project I did awhile back.
And, thanks for the GREAT cover on this one, Michele :9:

It checks out just fine, Larry! I'll mark it "done" on the spreadsheet. Now, go establish links where needed on all your other BC projects (or at least the new ones), and my purpose with the training program will be fulfilled! There are far too many projects coming off the assembly line now, and far too many in the past, for just one or two volunteers to ever catch up. :?

Glad you liked the cover.

And, one more:

Librivox page linked to: https://librivox.org/author/16105

This one doesn't have a link to works on Gutenberg, but I assume we're not trying to add those.

ETA: Ah! I see it is easy to add a Gutenberg link -- exactly the same! Looking at another of my projects that has no external links at all. I'll add using your directions. :) And, I'll see if I can add the book to the list of the author's books since it isn't included. (not the one below) How fun.

On a roll
