I couldn't for the life of me get that odd note on "pray" in the last verse, so I silenced it out of my track altogether.

Hi, here is my contribution. I'm not that good at singing, but I hope it will do!

I can't get the American tune to stick to my head, but here's my try at the English one:

May I try again before the deadline if I manage the American version?

My wife Lucille, is interested in singing the US version. She knows this song by heart. She sings in the local choir.

She is also totally blind, so is not likely to create her own librivox account. I would manage all the editing and recording, and submit the recording on her behalf via my account.

Would this be acceptable to you?

Yes, definitely! That would be fine. Yeah, it took a little while for me to learn the English melody -- but not too long, it was so catchy.

I have not recorded anything for a very long time, so I ran this through the checker and it came out OK but feel free to pm me if anything needs to be changed because I may forget to check back here :)

Sure, if you want. :)

It looks like when you uploaded your U.S. version, your England version was overwritten because you used the same file name. Could you upload your new England version again and this time name it something like awayinamanger_pianolil_englishversion.mp3?
