What do you want?
I say we make a story, and alternate endings in December.
a.r.dobbs edit:
the correct vote count is minus one from choice 2
plus one to choice 4
some votes came through when the order was being changed and another option inserted. mea culpa

The plan for the past couple days was to write 30 chapters in November, with the final (30th) chapter as several alternate endings by various authors, but still delivered by midnight on the 30th.
So I'll put that choice up above into your survey if I can manage to.
[Then I threw in the monkey wrench, suggesting ... the option about ending on chapter 27; and other folks tossed in the ideas of going on into December ... to infinity and beyond.]

ACK! sorry folks -- as I was adding the alternative I mentioned above, someone else voted. So then I switched the order, realizing how the voting was intended to be. Meanwhile, another vote came in. So it means ... that at least one person's vote got into the wrong ballot box.
How fitting for a major election day in the States.
Oh, unintentional tampering.
I won't touch it anymore.
I'm pretty sure what we have in actuality, with the first 4 votes, is an even split between the 4 choices.
So that means
subtract one from choice 2
add one to choice 4
and then it should be accurate

I'm not certain I understand. Would you please explain this again?
(Heh! Heh! Heh! Heh!)
Anyone interested in writing, recording their own ending?
I'm willing to host those text/audio files on my site (without LibriVox message.)
Deadline: 06 Jun 06.

hmmm... it looks like the real question should be not of when the book should end... but how many endings it should have... we might need to have a second poll with just two options:
Should the novel have ONE ending?
Or should the novel have ALTERNATE endings?
=)
