A request to the kind person who made the delightful cover for last week's Weekly Poem, The Magnet and the Churn, I had to re-catalog the project and don't want to break anything, but need the cover back into the new archive page (now 21 files) - https://archive.org/details/magnetandthechurn_2005.poem_librivox
Thanks. :D
The kind person has obliged - it was a popular choice wasn't it? trouble is I'm wandering the house singing it :D

Hi Annise,
Thanks for your advice. But I really cannot tell whether my drawing of it can claim PD in the US. The said photo is copyrighted by a private collector, and whose photo was incorporated into a book about photos taken in Hong Kong in the 50s and 60s. No individuals can be discerned in my drawing, and no logo depicted.

It is still iffish - I do not know the USA law on books published in HK - if the photobook was released in the USA it is definitely covered by copyright, if the photo had just been taken by Fred Smith on holidays it probably would be fine. Can you find something else?

(I've found a beautiful painting of a blue horse to use. A figurine of a blue horse figures in the story.)

Thanks
