That we can pre-claim covers for series that we have already designed a cover for, makes economic sense. Not only does it keep the covers in a similar vein, but takes lots less time for the cover-maker to design. I don't remembering seeing this in the stated "preclaim" rules, however. But I think it would be a great idea to add it, perhaps with the caveat that the BC or soloist approves!

My "two cents" clipart goes here _________________. :D

In this case, the soloist is fine with it--I'm just grateful for y'all making such awesome covers!

Like most things round LV, it's hard to make "rules" and I see my job as an admin as keeping things running smoothly not as a policeman. Series have been mentioned thoughout the thread especially when the claim limit was discussed. They are particularly handy I think when dealing with the multiple bible versions we have , it makes it much easier to select the version you want. But there are catches

1. defining a series is not easy
2. There is no automatic way to keep a record of whose doing the series cover - it depends on me remembering at the moment
3. what to do when the maker drops out
4. What to do when it's been catalogued for weeks and no cover

So I'm not keen on having it widely offered to anyone who comes along.

If it's going to be considered a series , could you consider making the headings in the catalogue match ?
At the moment they are
Human Nature And Conduct - Part 1
and
Human Nature and Conduct: An Introduction to Social Psychology (1922) - Part 3

I assume there will be part 2 sometime.

Thanks to the maker of the cover art for Kabumpo in Oz and Let'em Breath Space. Both are very nice and I appreciated 'em. Image
