2 covers caught ...

Do you know when the painting was done ? Or when the artist died. Born 1866 means they would only be 60ish in 1924.
And you didn't claim for hope - fortunately, it looks like no one else has.
Are you being affected by the weather?

I'm still confused they can't both be right

I've added Hope but the other one confuses me. Your link in the thread takes me to the picture with one artist,

the same picture on the pdf is labeled
Cover image: Jean Édouard Vuillard (French painter, 1868-1940) Woman Reading on a Bench 1898

Sorry I cited the wrong artist. I will correct the PDF to say Gennaro Befanio (Italian artist, 1866-1911) A Read in the Garden

No Wikipedia page but I found his birth-death date cited here.

The link I gave above is the French wikipedia, where it says he died in 1937. Same year of birth.

Okay, I cited the wrong artist on my origami CD case Cover Image info. Should be

Gennaro Befanio (Italian artist, 1866-1937) A Read in the Garden

On this website, https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/gennaro-befanio-italian-b1866-152-c-0jqfxp105v#
and several other places I see a death date
Gennaro Befani (1866 - 1937)

I haven't found a date for the painting, though, so if I need to I can use another picture.

Okay, here is a replacement cover for Short Stories 81. Sorry for the mixup, Anne. The weather has cleared up. No damage to our house or property, just a bunch of limbs to pick up, patio furniture to set back up and plants to set back out. It was a Cat 1, not too bad for us. Thanks for asking.

Caught and linked. Pity about the first image, it was hard to tell from the hair and clothes exactly the date.

And thank you. Few of Gennaro Befanio's paintings are dated, which alas leaves most of his pieces suspect of not being PD, being as he died in 1936. Pity, he has so many beautiful ones and certainly many of them were painted before 1924. Maybe the library will have a book on his life that dates his works. Couldn't find anything online. :(
