Even if you don't do anything else I want as many people as possible saying 'Happy 5th Anniversary LibriVox!' (Or Happy 5th Birthday, if you find it easier to say!)

You can add a little message along with that if you like: praise for everyone involved, your hopes for the next 5 years, your best memories of the last five years, anything else you want to say.

But even if you can't think of anything else to say, please upload a recording of yourself saying: 'Happy 5th Anniversary LibriVox!' I want lots and lots of voices.

If you have a particular subject you'd like to do a longer contribution on please post here or PM me. Even if you can't record anything, if you type out what you'd like included, I'll read it out for you and put it in.

You have until late evening on the 8th/early morning on the 9th of August to upload your Anniversary messages. I'll be editing all day on the 9th and the Podcast will be released on the 10th, for our fifth anniversary celebrations.

Upload any contributions to the cs - Cori folder. When that's done please post the URL in this thread, along with the duration. Thank you all in advance, I can't wait to hear you!

[Cori added: please name the file: 5anni_[YOUR INITIALS].mp3 e.g. 5anni_cs.mp3 or 5anni_lp.mp3 Usual MP3 formats apply. No ID3 tags needed.]

And now here is something else you can volunteer to do:

Talk about contributions in a language other than English, French and German. You could do anything you like - extracts from the recordings, talk about notable recordings, recordings you'd like to do in that language, encouraging more people to read in those languages, anything else you can think of.
So little space, so much to say.

As promised. Here is my contribution to LibriVox 5 years:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/cs/5anni_lr.mp3

Time 06:34

There are a bit of sound-effects at the beginning and at the end of this. They are from some old records with sound-effects, free to use anywhere.
I hope this will fit the bill.

Lars :)

Hi Lucy,

my statistics are coming together (thanks to everyone who's helping!)

I was wondering - would you like to have one complete section or maybe single lines like
'Did you know that LibriVox started out with 21 members in September 2005 and now has more than 24800?'

You could put those sentences basically anywhere... What do you think?
Cheers, Ava.

Thanks annise. Neeru already sent me a link to something you two did, is this the same or have you changed it since?

That's great to hear Availle. One complete section would be slightly better, as I've already got a running order and half written script organised. (And this is already going to be a monster to edit, I've a huge number of contributions from others expected.)
