Advice & Tips pages by LibriVoxers

One step of the sloooooooow process of updating our technical how-to pages is the addition of advice pages on the LibriVox Wiki.

If you have some favorite recordings at LibriVox or a list of recommended listening or any such thing, could you please either make a wiki page and then link to it from this page, or simply add your Listening List to this page?

---- http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/RecommendedListeningList ----

There was a Forum thread somewhere in which folks listed what they'd listened to lately and particularly liked; but I can't find it. Anyone know the thread link?

If you have already written a wiki page about recording or editing or filters or reading or avoiding burnout or ... whatever ... please make a note about it on (and link to it from) one of these pages:

http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/AdvicefromProoflisteners

http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/AdvicefromBookCoordinators

http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/AdvicefromTechTypes

THANKS!

Wow, thanks, Anita.

There was a thread I started before I went away this summer, on which people posted loads of great rec's. Might that be what you are talking about?

No -- cool! -- that would be a second one!

The other was begun about 1.5 years ago I think. Quite a while ago.

Give me a few minutes and I'll dig it up.

Oh, THAT thread! It's a great one, yeah. I'll put that link onto the Listening List page.

The older one went on for months and months.
It would be good to uncover that link sometime.

THANKS!

If I run across it I will let you know. I've looked through off-topic, and I don't think it's there. Any idea where it might have been?

I was looking for that thread a while back and I never could find it. I thought it had been stickied in the off topic. I hope it didn't get accidentally deleted.
Whereas story is processed in the mind in a straightforward manner, poetry bypasses rational thought and goes straight to the limbic system and lights it up like a brushfire. It's the crack cocaine of the literary world. - Jasper Fforde

That would be a real shame.
