Welcome to covermaking! :D

Read the first post of this thread, it contains all the information you need.

There's more info in the wiki:

For more covermaking discussions visit this thread: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=28785

There was a ZOOM meeting that was recorded, with tutorials on GIMP and Inkscape here: https://youtu.be/ES9kVdM2H3U

How can we access the pdf templates? I know it says to replace the librivox.com to librivox.org, but I'm still unsure how to view them.

They do for me. A box pops up asking if I want to open or save the file. What software are you using? Mac/OS or Windows?

We try to keep this a working thread as it is very easy to miss cover links otherwise.
The first line on the first post in this thread says
This Working Thread is for preclaiming and submitting covers. If you want to ask questions, thank a cover maker, chat or provide hints etc. please do so here: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=64062

I think it would help if the first post was a little more explanatory, and I offer this text in exchange:

We reserve this Working Thread for preclaiming and submitting covers. If you want to thank a cover maker, chat, ask questions or provide hints about cover making, etc. please use the Covermakers' Chat Thread

caught - and linked. Thank you :D
Tech bits are all fine except for a minor point which isn't worth fixing - we add the yymm to the files so in years to come we will know which file belongs where - important when there are several versions or when they have a really original title like
"Poems" so we usually use yymm not yydd but as most months do not have 30 days it is fine as is.
If you want to look at it in place https://librivox.org/heart-of-darkness-ver4-by-joseph-conrad/ shows the image that is usually shown, the links under it display the uploaded version and clicking on the author will show the thumb nail,
Clicking on the Archive link shows the itemimage one
And were are not responsible for any other versions that others use.
