I've run into problems with foreign authors, too. Those Wikipedia pages sometimes don't take our templates. Until we can get appropriate templates made for foreign authors and books, I am skipping foreign language projects.

This belongs more in the Wikipedia discussion thread, but since the topic has come up here I will try to summarize an answer from my readings in the discussion threads.

In the beginning of this effort all links including those to English Wikipedia pages were considered SPAM and frequently deleted. After much discussion between experienced LV volunteers and Wiki volunteers, the English Wikipedia pages were convinced that linking from English Wikipedia pages to Librivox should not generally be considered SPAM (though creators of specific page may disagree and delete the links). Read through the latest discussion thread and you will see some of this. Each language is different and in many languages links from Wikipedia to LV are still considered SPAM. If you create a link on another languages Wikipedia, check back in 2 weeks to see if it is still there.

Like I said, I am leaving foreign language Wikipedia pages alone for now. They do look and behave different, and we have plenty enough work to keep us busy. Each time we make a link we click a box that says "WATCH THIS PAGE", so I presume if any changes occur we will be notified. And I don't see how it can be considered SPAM for us to enhance the value of Wikipedia to its users. We are partners in the desire to educate, inform and preserve the world's knowledge, all ad free and free of charge.

Some small thing about author links that you may not have noticed: You can leave out all the stuff that comes after the first number in the link.

To use an example from above:
https://librivox.org/author/191?primary_key=191&search_category=author&search_page=1&search_form=get_results

is the same as
https://librivox.org/author/191

Makes for cleaner links that are easier to read by a human if it ever needs checking.
