It's all exactly the same as all the other post-1924 image sites people use. They can say the image itself is PD but any copyright that is held by the subject of the image still will hold.
If this is a problem, just stick to pre 1925 images - it would be much easier for everybody.

Bye Bye R2D2. By the time you are PD, I'll be SFU, RIP.

Dear Anne,

Thank you for your wonderful cover for "Guelphs and Ghibellines." I can't imagine anything better. It is perfect in every way!

Words can't express my gratitude for the help you have given my projects by all your beautiful covers!

Nice cover for Emily of New Moon, Anne. You did a great job of using the elements of the original cover.

I love when the original artwork can be used! It adds authenticity, and fits the period perfectly of course. ;)

Thanks. I've been sitting on it for a while - hoping no one would claim it before I could :D

Please don't ask questions here that have nothing to do with covers. External links would say wikipedia links if that was what it was for.

The cover database is now accessible for me. Whether it was Bart's update, or the catalog query going through now, I don't know - I just like the result. :)

LOVE the cover for The Garden of Folly! It's great when we can use the original cover art - and that one is so fun!

Glad you liked it. The original was rather battered and of course rectangular but I was happy with the final result.

Hi, I am new here and I just found this chat thread. I am 19 and love making art and I'd love to contribute around here you can check out my art pieces on https://www.instagram.com/apeirxn/
It would be great if someone could guide me through this all, I've lurked around the forums quite a bit but I am still very intimidated and lost. Hope you are all safe and happy.
It is really nice to be here.
