Hi Desiree, welcome to librivox :D

You have quite a few tech specs to correct so could you please let me know what software you use to record so that i can give you correct instructions?

Thanks @Ashleighjane! :D

To be honest, I just made a voice recording through Win10 system app. Then, I tried to "noise-proof" it through audacity. But, its obvious, I'm so new to this software. So I thought that would be enough...

What do you think I should improve?

I think you will probably be better off recording directly through audacity to be honest.

Rather than me listing all the tech specs i think it will be easier if you have a look at the audacity walkthrough here https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Audacity_1-2-3 and make a new test.

Once you have done this, please upload the second test and post the link here. I will then review that test and let you know if there is still anything that needs to be corrected :)

Just two things to fix now. I'm guessing you used audacity?

The bit rate should be 128 kbps.  When you export, change 'quality' to 128 kbps.

The recording should use a constant bit rate. When you export, change 'bit rate mode' to 'constant'.

Audacity should remember these settings for future recordings

Please make these adjustments and upload the test again and post the link here. Hopefully you will be good to go then :D
