Hi,
My username is Farnax and I've jest realised my first one minute test (in Italian). I am using a USB mic with Audacity.
Please let me know if it is Ok and if it needs to be improved.

Thanks for your help,

Farnax

Hi Farnax, and welcome to Librivox! Glad to have you join us.

There are a couple of technical issues in your recording. The bit rate should be 128 kbps, you can do this when exporting the recording. We also need a constant bit rate, you have a variable bit rate. Again, you can do this when exporting your recording. Typical Librivox recordings have 5 seconds of pure silence at the end, and 0.5-1 seconds at the beginning, so just remember this while your recording.

If not already, you should download our Checker program. This tells you if you have problems like the ones above.

In the meantime, you can check out our short works section. Here is the link: viewforum.php?f=19

It's ok if you didn't get everything required, I didn't either. You can wait for other people's feedback as well, it might be better than mine. Addressing the issues above, please make a new recording and title it test 2. Great first recording! :D
