Hello,
https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_mancipia.mp3

Recorded in GarageBand on iMacG5 with Rode NT1-A mic with a M-Audio Firewire 410. I might switch to recording in audacity.

Mancipia,

Welcome to Librivox!

I've listened to your file.

Tech specs are good,
No noticeable background noise.

Only issue is volume. We target 89 dB, with 87-91 being acceptable. Your recording came in at 85.8. I don't use GB, so I can't help you with that adjustment.

Can you fix that and then submit another file for a re-check?

And if you do switch to audacity, you should go through another test to make sure it's set with the right technical specs.

Thank you! That's great and checks all the boxes.

I'll mark the thread OK - go forth and record!

I changed to recording in adobe audition which is what I am more familiar with. I then use MediaHuman audio converter to get rid of the ID tags.
